Prompt response to a call for help to repair a leaking roof, followed by a quick and thorough job done. Excellent experience all around.

Unlike other roofers who made up additional issues and tried to push for an entirely new roof. Richard gave me an honest appraisal of the situation of what was truly needed to resolve the roof leak. I had new chimney flashing/apron, ridge tiles + battons + tiles replaced as necessary, an anti-mould sealer on ridge beam, and roof tile vents installed. I asked about some of mu ridge pointing and whether it needed doing and was informed it was totally fine and would be a waste of money. Which in todays age is totally refreshing. The work was done in a timely manner. Richard is highly recommended.

I had mould and condensation in my loft. Richard fitted roof vents six weeks ago, no problems since and I think the condensation issue is now fixing itself. Richard told me how I clean the mould off myself.

Very sensible quote which was kept to. The roof was repaired in a very tidy and prompt way. We had another leak after the work was done (so the roof wasn’t the problem, although it needed doing) – Richard came back the day we contacted him, worked hard to identify the problem and put it right for the price of a couple of coffees. Very impressed.

Richard responded quickly to my request; gave helpful advice and arranged to carry out repair work promptly. The work involved replacement tiles and replacement of flashings. It was carried out to a high standard. He also fixed some incidental issues with my guttering for no charge. I would be happy to recommend him and use him again.

Work by a previous builder had left some of the tile hanging above my new flat roof loose with some “dropped” tiles. There was also a golf ball hole at the edge of the roof letting in the weather. Richard inspected the problem and advise on a solution, provided an estimate that day and said he would be able to do the work within a week. He came on the agreed day and was on time, carried out the work to a very high standard and cleared up when he had finished. The price charged was as the estimate and I felt was good value for the work undertaken. I would be very happy to go to Richard again.

Richard has carried out several roofing repair jobs on our period property over the past 2 years including re felting the roof valley and repointing and renewing the flashing on our chimney after water ingress. Replacing a ridge tile which blew off in a storm and replacing an old down pipe. He has always carried out his work to a high standard and in a courteous manner.

We have had Richard work before on both our pitched roof, and flat roofed extension. His work has always been of a very high standard. He responds quickly to requests for quotes, and gives excellent advice. Richard is very personable, trustworthy and reliable. His quotes are very reasonable, and you can confidently leave him to do an excellent job even if you have to be away, as we were on this latest occasion. Where it helps, he provides photographs of the work he carries out. In fact, so pleased have we been with Aston Roofing overall, we tend not to bother with alternative quotes.

We found a leak around our Chimney and after calling round to several roofing companies chose to use Richard as he was the most helpful and professional when phoned. The day after my initial phone call Richard visited to take a look and took the time to explain the issue we had in detail. We received a quote the following evening. The work was completed in less than a day and was a week ahead of originally planned which was a bonus. We were provided with images of the entire process and are really happy with the end product. We would definitely recommend Aston Roofing to others.

Richard arrived on time for the initial roof inspection, provided an estimate the same evening and arrived to do the work on the day agreed. Before/after photographs were sent to me and the work was carried out efficiently.

I have to be honest and say that Richard was the only roofer that could be bothered to actually get up on my roof and check the problem, I originally asked for about 5 quotes from different trades people and most didn’t even arrive when they said they would and then failed to give me an actual quote or just texted me price. Richard was straight on my enquiry and offered to do the work within a few days of quoting, photos were sent before and after and was happy to answer any questions [even If they are stupid]. Advice to everyone would be.. Just get Richard to quote and look at your problem.

Previous work completed include new guttering, fascias and soffits, front and rear of house, plus fire wall flashing repair/replacement rear house amongst other roof related fixes over the years. I highly recommend, Richard has excellent workmanship and finish quality to a high standard!!

The old roofs were removed and all rubbish cleared tidily to a skip, which was promptly collected afterwards. The new roofs were laid to a high
standard. Mess and noise were minimal. I was able and welcome to inspect the work at any point. Richard carried out all the work himself and
provided a full set of photographs of the work in progress and of the completed job.

Richard is 100% reliable: turns up when he says he will; keeps you properly informed about the job; communicates clearly and promptly by email; and really knows his stuff. The work was finished to an excellent standard and we are really pleased with the end result. We are more than happy to recommend him to others.

I have used Richard before this job and he knows his stuff. I am a chartered engineer and served my time as a shipwright and worked as marine surveyor for many years. Now, that doesn’t make me a roofing expert but I know professionaism and good workmanship when I see it and that’s what you get with Richard! He is also fair, prompt, polite and tidy.
